Is it true you are not allowed to take power strips on board?

I thought I saw that some place.

you can bring multi port usb chargers though so as long as it has a usb cord you can use that.

  • Gaming systems such as Playstation®, Xbox and Nintendo Wii (due to compatibility issues with the stateroom TVs)
Compatibility issues? I call BS on that one

Well.......that wording has been on the books for quite a while. I believe at the time it was put in, it was true. But, for the most part, DCL is trying to discourage people from bringing their gaming stuff and connecting to the TVs. I think it should just say "not allowed", if that's the issue.

Whoa, glad I clicked on this thread. This is a bummer. Took my Playstation on multiple Royal Caribbean cruises. I know this vexes many people, but honestly I enjoy getting to play (don't any other time).

You be you. It's not for others to tell you have to have fun, and if it keeps you from being ahead of me at dinner/show/bar/pool/etc... so much the better. :)

Ahh, see this is more like it:

  • DVD, VCR, and Blu-ray players

Just flat banned because they don't like them no flimsy excuses.

Technically, this means any laptop with a DVD or Blu-Ray drive would be prohibited under that rule.

I wonder how they would feel about a Chromcast and my laptop with a boat load of movies (pun intended) on it.

It's probably because they don't want to have to hookup the TVs afterwards

I can't tell you how many time I go to disneyworld and have to reconnect the center console or cable back in to the tv because the prior guest forgot

Some older hotels with the lodgenet equipment it's just a mater of connecting a telephone cable others it's the coax just to get the ports on the tv to work
