I'm sitting here pouting because my 3 day trip for this weekend has just been canceled because of car problems and the mechanic :confused3 "can't find anything wrong or recreate the problems I've been having!"

:sad2: ME :sad2: DS :sad2: DD
:yay:Hubby who didn't really want to go to begin with!

oh, i'm soo sorry to hear that! i'm sure your kids are just as sad as you are. maybe you can find another fun activity for the weekend?! :confused3
i know nothing can be as fun as a weekend in DL, but it may help to get your minds off of what happened...

hope your "re-make" trip to DL happens soon! :wizard:

Thanks NorthShoreMomma we are on Spring Break all next week and were hoping to get to the beach, too! So I guess it will have to be fun activities here in wonderful Las Vegas!

The kids have been sports about it. We will go again and hopefully before our tickets expire on 06/12/09.

Oh bummer! Can you rent a car? Just a thought, you might be able to get one for really cheap. Take your car to another mechanic, maybe someone else can find the problem for you.

Stay positive you still have a couple months to get it all straight before they expire
I have had quite a few things almost hold us back.... My frig died, my 17 year old totaled her Jeep.(no one hurt:) ) the flu......
Just keeping my fingers crossed 9 more days.....
It will all work out and just think you can re-plan!! :thumbsup2
That's fun too :)

My car would magically not start for 15 or 20 minutes after short trips...sometimes. Sometimes if you wiggled the key around it would go ahead and start. I ended up being stranded a good dozen times over almost a year. Then, finally, it got so that you couldn't count on it to start up again.

I took it in to my mechanics in MO three times prior to moving. After moving, I took it in twice here. Each time I was told that they couldn't find anything wrong and that I'd have to wait until the car was acting up and let them look at it then.

I ended up having to have it towed twice in three months because the problems were a bad starter (which was less than 6 months old when this whole business started) and a bad ignition.

It was one of the most annoying things I ever experienced!

Here's hoping you can get this solved quickly so it doesn't cause any further problems for you!

Must be a Ford. :lmao:

Just kidding. I feel for you. We have had to cancel before at the last minute as DS got sick one year. It is a bummer but nice that you can plan to go real soon.

An Explorer!

Its working OK at the moment . . . but I don't trust it to drive 5+ hours to CA.

So we'll go when school gets out.

HAHA... My brother's freind works for FORD and my aunt was recently laid off as a district marketing manager, both lable Ford as "Found On Road Dead." :lmao:

In all seriousness though, maybe it's your battery. The new electronic systems do some wierd things when the battery is dying a slow death. My husbands dodge wouldn't start after short trips out of no where. After sitting for a while it started right up. The whole charge thing I don't understand but he also had stuff like the windshield wipers magically going across once and the radio working. The steering wheel would lock itself and he wouldn't be able to change gears. All kinds of odd things! Maybe they can check that?

I am really really sorry to hear about this .... I would be totally frustrated at that situation.... but you have to look at the positive side of this, least your home safe with your family and not stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting hours for tow truck to come to the rescue .... Disneyland will and always be there waiting for you. There is still plenty of time before the summer season. I hope this makes you feel a little better.
