Hi,

I'm thinking of getting my DD either the lounger or the loveseat from Pottery Barn Teen's bean bag collection.

Does anyone have it who can offer some comments on how comfortable, durable, etc. it is?

Thank you!

Mary

Hi, Mary - For Christmas, I bought my daughters the Lounge n' Chair. It's the one that looks like a seat, with arms, and then it has a section that folds out to be a footrest/almost twin bed type lounger. It is very low to the ground when it is unfolded, and it is long enough for my 13 year old to use it as a bed, but not long enough for my 18 year old.

When the bottom section folds back, it fits under the seat portion (hope that makes sense!) and you have essentially a tall chair made of fabric. My girls don't use them for chairs at all - they are unfolded on the floor in their playroom and they use them to sit/lie down and watch TV or play video games. Usually if they are lying down thay have to have another regular bed pillow or two to be propped up the way they want to be to see the TV.

I found them to be very comfortable. I "test drove" them when I first got them by unfolding one and lying on it for a few minutes - woke up an hour later!!!!

For lounging around on the floor I think they are great because you can wash those covers. But they were pretty expensive (169.00/179.00 on the website) and I can't remember if that included the cloth cover or not - don't think it did. If they are really going to get a beating, I always like PB quality.

Check overstock.com--They have some of this on there--FREE SHIPPING:cheer2:

DVCLiz and Hentob,

Thank you so much for the info. I'm glad to know that someone likes them. I will definitely check out overstock.

Thanks again.

Mary

You might want to check out Love Sacks. DD has the smallest one and it is HUGE! Also, because the filling is dense foam rubber, it fluffs very easily and doesn't mash down over time like a bean bag chair. Plus, the cover opens like a clamshell making it extremely easy to take off and wash.

They are a bit expensive but since we went thru three bean bags before we switched, I think they are definitely worth it!
