pottery barn taste on a beer budget...

anyone know of any good websites (we are snowed in) to look for bookshelves.. I love pottery barn just can't justify the cost!! thanks!

Website isn't great (IMHO), but you can get some PB-esque shelves from IKEA.

Target tends to be "inspired" by PB and SL@H.

I'd check Lowe's too.

Do you have a Mill Store nearby? I purchased unfinished and copied Pottery Barn's storage ideas with a book shelf and baskets for a playroom. It came out great.

Bookshelves in general tend to be more expensive than you think they should be. In the past year I've bought a couple, the best one from overstock was a window pane cabinet style with sliding doors.

I bought a nice piece at a good price from One Way Furniture Direct..online. Nice price, nice product (I'd seen the exact same piece at other sites for much more) and I got SR to boot.

I think you're talking about adult furniture, but I have gotten some great deals at PB Kids for their bedding. Just look for their sales. I got my crip stuff for pretty cheap, as well as some pillows. And my handy sister was so kind to make a crip skirt into pillows and a large valence for my kids room -- all for $5!

I have the same "affliction"...LOL When we re-did our living room, we bought the tables/bookshelves/accessories from Target. Our computer armoire is also from Target. Their pieces are well made and look great!

ETA: we did look on the Target website first. Bought the computer armoire sight unseen and had it delivered. The living room tables/bookshelves/etc. came from the actual store, but we researched on-line first.
