Potentially stupid question

Do unused Disney tickets expire? If I would pick up two 8-day adult tickets for my parents would they be able to use them anytime - even though it may be a couple of years until their next Florida trip?

I think I'm having a blonde moment - I think I already know the answer to this!

If you purchase the "no-expiration" option on the tickets they would be good forever.

if you buy the expiring tickets, they are good until you activate them and from the first day of activation you have 13 days to use them up.

this means that if you buy eg: 5 day tickets today, they are good forever or until the first day your parents use them...even 10 or more years from now! but, from the first day they use them to enter a park, they have to use up all 5 days within a 13 day period or the unused days expire.
