Hiya,

We're off to the BCV in just under 3 weeks time and as DVC virgins have a few questions, obviously we're travelling a long was with one child and one baby so if we don't need to pack it we don't want to!

My wonderful brother who lives in Georgia is doing our shopping for us as they're driving down to meet us on the day we arrive.

Should I get him to buy some washing tablets/fabric conditioner or is it supplied / is there a dispenser in the laundry room?

Are the products that Netgrocer sell pretty typical of American supermarkets? so if I were to choose brands on there, would they be easily accessible for him (he doesn't have children so I don't want to confuse him by making him look at ingredients etc.)!

Do we just speak to the check-in desk to ensure they can park at the BCV (they won't be staying there - just meeting up with us for dinner, days out etc.)

And now for the really silly question!!! LOL .......

I've just assumed that we'll be given ID cards when we check in for charging things back to the room etc. Is this correct?

Thank you

I am a little confused by you first paragraph, but I think I get what you are asking. If you are staying at BCV in a one or two bedroom you will have your own laundry -washer and dryer-you will be supplied with enough soap for one wash and you can buy more at the store right there at BC. As for baby food you might want to pack some to make sure you have a starting base.. Yes you should speak to the front desk to make sure your guest can park there. You might want to call the guard house yourself to make sure. You will be given charge card when you check in so you can charge things back to the room, you will need a credit card for that. The card they give you will be the key to the room also, and can be if you want your park ticket also. I hope I was some help
:D

Although you can purchase more laundry powder in the store at the Beach Club, it would be more economical to get it at the supermarket. We like the Tablet detergents and dryer sheets when we are on vacation. We use the Purex tablets and Snuggle or Bounce sheets, if that helps.

As for parking, you can get a second parking pass from the front desk, although it is intended for use by registered guests. I'm guessing that if you explain your situation they will give you a second pass for your brother's car.

I have not used Netgrocer, but I would imagine their brands are very typical of brands found throughout the US. I would think you brother would have no trouble finding what you need if you use Netgrocer's list as a guideline.

Have a great holiday!
