Potential Rent/Trade scam alert!

We have learned that a fairly recent poster has been contacting potential renters via 'Conversation' (PM) offering reservations for dates they have requested in valid rental threads on the DVC Rent/Trade Board.

Unless you have posted a rental request in an approved and active rental thread on the Rent/Trade Board, no one should be contacting you regarding a reservation except the DVC Member who posted the rental thread.

If you are contacted by anyone where you did not previously initiate contact, please use the 'Report' function at the lower left of the message or send a PM to me, @CarolMN, or @Chuck S to let us review what happened.

Scammers are the worst!! It’s a constant intrusion into everyone’s daily life now between the robo calls, spoof emails and crazy text messages with links. Thanks for your help!!

There may soon be more people trying to bypass the DISboards Rent/Trade Forum rules by using PMs. Another Disney-focused internet forum just announced it will be closing its rental board.

The Disboards rules & posting requirements are there for a reason. As @WebmasterDoc said:
