Potential October trip and closures? Halloween party?

OK, we're thinking about taking a trip to DL around the second week of October. We're concerned that there may be an early park closure because of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (or whatever it's called at DL). We're also concerned about other closures such as HM. Can anyone help and/or offer recommendations? I don't think DL's calendar has such things listed this far in advance.

I suggest checking out the "Halloween at Disney" thread, it has tons of info. Not all the information has been released yet, and we don't know very much yet. What we do know is:

Mickey's Halloween Party will be help on every tuesday and friday in October, plus halloween night.

Tuesdays the park will close to non-party guests at 6pm, Fridays at 7pm. DCA will still be open after these times.

Haunted Mansion, as well as SMGG and presumably all the other rides will be up and running during HalloweenTime. The HM holiday overlay goes on in September to be ready for this.

HM will be back up in it's holiday form, as will space mountain.

There will likely be other closures, though. Off season at DLR has far more closures than WDW.

HalloweenTime begins on September 17th this year (that is from a direct Disney source - on the executive side, not a CM - on the official Disney Parks Blog).

As MattsPrincess suggested, check out the "Halloween at DL" super thread. It's chock full of info, and we are constantly discussing all HalloweenTime-related news as it comes in. If you don't want to go through the whole thing and look at all the photos and all that, and if you want the most recent info, I recommend starting on the last page of that thread and maybe working your way backwards about 5 or 6 pages or so. That way, you will have all the latest info that has come in since Friday.
