So, I've been diligently searching for a Mine Train FP+ for two people since my 30 day window opened two weeks ago, with no luck. Today I had an idea, I have the ticket my DH is going to use for our August trip, and I went ahead and added to his MDE account, which allowed me to search for MT availability for one person.
Well, I found at MT FP+ for Friday May 22nd for one person for 7:15 am, and I booked it, breakthrough, right?
Now, I know it is only for one person, but my plan is use my DS2 to get a rider swap, ride the ride myself, and then take the rider swap and ride with my DS5. That one one FP+ will get us both on.
Now here comes the disaster part- the FP+ is under my DH's MDE, who will not be on our May trip. I already have FP+ scheduled for the evening at DHS. I don't know if there is a way to copy my DH's FP+ to my account, or if it would even be worth it to lose FP+ for DHS evening when we possibly will have some success at getting on MT at rope drop the next morning.
Now I've read the other thread about scambands and using a second MDE, and my question is, if I take my DH's band into the park with me, but DO NOT scan it as ticket media, will the FP+ for mine train still be active? Could I use his band to get on the ride, even though his ticket was not used (and has not been activated).
If none of this is going to work, I will cancel the FP+ under DH's account.
As a side note, this is completely insane and is really turning me off. I never, ever, ever thought I'd say this, but this may be the beginning of my Disney end.
