Potential DVC Rental Scammer

We have received a report of a fairly new poster (June, 2020) contacting other DIS posters via PM offering existing reservations. He has been able to provide a name of a DVC Member for others to look up in public records, but there is no way to tell without further contact information being provided.

Unless a poster has an active rental thread on the DVC Rent/Trade Board where you contacted them first, PLEASE do not respond to unsolicited messages about renting. In this case, the poster is violating DIS policy and, while they may be a legitimate DVC Member with a reservation to offer, they are still violating DIS rules.

If you have been contacted recently by ANYONE offering a DVC reservation where you did not initiate contact, please let @CarolMN, @Chuck S, or me know.

Even if he or she is a legitimate DVC owner, do you really want to do business with someone willing to bypass DIS rules & take advantage of the DIS Community for their own personal gain? If they'd do it to the DIS, why would you trust them not to do it to you!
