POTC Grammar Question

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the correct English grammar be "Congratulations! You have dug out a treasure of...!?"
 

Haha yes, it should be dug. "Digged" is actually not a word. Unless I'm totally messing up the titles of these things, "dug" is actually the past tense form and past participle form for "dig."

Of course, VMK could be doing this because it's pirate lingo of some sort?! Should pirates have good grammar? :confused3
 
I guess maybe the people who wrote that thought that "digged" is more piratey.

Yeah. That makes sense.
 
You're suppoused to assume that a pirate is talking and telling you this, thus it sould be a little bit more authentic if the pirate's grammer was a little bit incorrect to show that s/he doesn't have propper knowledge in English, just like the
pirate lingo
that RachelNinja is trying to explain.
