Have you seen it yet? If so, how did you like the peek and the presentation?
I watched it this past Friday evening. I liked it overall. However, I thought there was going to be more to the pre and post show. It was nice all the same though. And the trailers in 3 - D no less. Then outside of the outdoor theater, Capt. Jack and the female lead character CM (I don't remember her name, sorry) appeared for picture taking, and a bit of chatting as well. It was a fun experience all.

Elizabeth Swan?

Do the pirates introduce the film clip or does it just get dark and start?

The female leads name is Angelica. And she is portrayed by Penelope Cruz. (Imdb.Com)

There is a presentation by a pirate, whom with a little bit of assistance with two small buccaneers that were selected by the audience, introduced the show. There are pirates at each end of the tent, sitting on top of boxes, giving appropriate shout outs during the pre and post show. They were high enough to where they were wearing a safety belt on the back of their waists.
The seating is mainly on the cement,I opted for a bench. There were cool looking torches around the interior perimeter of the outdoor theater. They culminated with skeletons and skulls. And are within and upon boxes. They would make for such an awesome addition to my tiny (So far) pirate collection.

Did you have to arrive early to secure a bench. I am so worried that if I sit down on the cement, I would not be able to get back up. :rotfl:

Also, I noticed that the times listed for this were for a several hour span, do people just come in and leave as they wish or are there shows at very specific times?

The seating is designated as priority for handicap. Due to a knee injury last year, I really was not interested in dealing with cold cement. So I waited until people were seated, saw that no one yet had ventured over to the several bench's, then ended up going over with other people. There are quite a few benches in two different areas, near the back of the tent (Outside of it) There were seats available upon said benches. However, if that were to turn out not to be the case, I would have offered my seat to someone that needed far more from myself. It is not that I cannot get up or down from the ground, but rather I choose not to, thanks to the crooked side walk in Novato, Ca. that tripped me up but good. And to this day, my knee still hurts. Anyway, that is another story.

Yes, the show does have a particular schedule. At the time, it was starting at 7:45 p.m. with the next show at 30 minute intervals. With exception of the fireworks, then the next show would be after the fireworks were over. I was told that show would be at 9:50 p.m. instead.
The show does not always start exactly on the half hour mark. For it can take a bit of time for everyone to be seated, etc.

Remember to collect your special pirate (3-D) eye patches before venturing into the mysterious realm of the pirates lair.

So has anyone else seen this show yet? If so, what did you think?

So I take it, no one else has watched this show yet? Are you planning to then? And if not, why?

I would like to see it when I am there next week, I just wasnt sure if I wanted to devote that much time to it, because on the schedule for example, it shows 8:10 - 11:45pm, and I did not know if that meant it would last that whole time.

So since it doesn't sound like it is the whole block, how much time would you say it took?

We just saw it tonight and thought it was great. We had dinner at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ at 5:30 and were done by 6:55. Went next door to Thunder ranch and were the 3rd ones in line. They had a preshow at the front of the line which included a female pirate and talking parrot that entertained us for about 35 minutes. They were great they interacted with my kids and several others in the crowd it was a funny little show. We were let in to the sneak peak at 7:40 and were led to the very front where we sat on the ground. Only problem we had was the pirates on either side of the movie screen were kind of hard to hear at times.

No, the show is not that long. That is just the duration for the several showings. The show including wait time, and exiting, is about 30 minuets long. If you go to wait in line earlier, then yes, your wait time before being allowed into the out door theater, will be longer.
I suggest seeing a later showing, that way, the line will be much shorter from what it will be earlier in the evening.

Excellent! Thank you so much for the time information! That is just what I was wondering!! 30 mins I will spend on it. If it was an hour, probably not. So I will try to hit it later in the evening. Can't wait!!!!!!!!! pirate:

Your welcome.....

Wishing you and your family a most wonderful visit at the land! And, enjoy the pirates! :)
