POTC 2!!! Just saw midnight showing!!!!!

Can someone email me and tell me what the scene at the end of the credits is about???? PRETTY PLEASE!!!!! I left as soon as it ended. It was almost 3am and I had to get up early the next morning but the thought did cross my mind that *maybe* there was an extra scene.

I went to a 7 PM showing, which naturally was sold out and very festive (lots of pirates). I'd guess at least 30% of the audience hung around to watch the credits and extra scene. Many had learned from Pirates I (so check out your DVDs if you've never seen the extra scene from the first). What a fun time!

PS -- I sent you a PM Harmony...

Awesome flick! I caught an 11:30 PM showing last night in the giant AMC in Hamilton NJ... if anyone has been to the AMC at DTD in WDW it is the exact same theater... the 4 largest screens all were showing POTC, with showtimes at 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 - all 4 sold out!

I saw on the Drudge report that it was the largest opening ever - the link was to box office mojo, and their site was down. Must be all those pirate fans!

I saw the 8 pm show last night. a friend convinced me to buy the tickets the day before and to show up an hour early. I thought i would be okay since this theatre isn't normally as busy and there were shows every 1/2 hour. We got to the theatre 1 1/4 hours early and the show was sold out and there was a line up! So glad she pressured me!

The movie was awesome! We were told by someone coming out of the show to stay until the end of the credits. it was a long wait for a short clip but kinda funny....

I am now watching the first POTC!!

Grrrr, I didn't stay for the sclip after the credits either! Can someone pretty please pm me too and let me know what I missed?

As far as the movie goes, we tried to get in last night but it was sold out so we went today at noon. We liked it, but I liked the first one better.

I just watched Pirates at a local AMC theatre and it was awesome! My boyfriend and I stayed till the end to catch that clip (the credits were sooooo long and we both thought it would never end! LOL!)

We caught the 11:30am show and when we came out there were 2 HUGE lines waiting to watch the 3pm show. pirate:

the special affects were amazing!!! we can't wait for the 3rd now. . . how many scenes related to the ride did everyone catch??

I think it is when they first go visit tia there is a swamp like the bayou with the fireflies.

Also, the drownding mayor when they are in tortouga

thats all i caught.

I saw it last night.
Liked it.
Loved Capt Jack and Will.
Thought Davy Jones' face was really cool.

Didn't like it as much as the first movie...but of course that movie was PERFECT and it is hard to beat perfection!!!

Thought the first one was a wee bit funnier too, with more Depp-asides.
But this was plenty good, and of course I'll have to see it again before it comes out on DVD!!!

Don't touch my dirt!!! pirate:

Okay, so I am the only one that didn't LOVE it??? It was a long two and half hour set up for #3, and that is all. Okay, so Orlando looks amazing (  ) and Johnny fabulous yet again, but the content...ummm, well, it just didn't stand on it's own. Some amazing scenes, special effects, but I actually contemplated leaving during the middle of it...I was bored (except when dear Orlando was on screen ;) ) I will see it again with DH when he returns from overseas...hopefully I will like it better the second time around.

Have read that the movie shattered the 1-day record (previously owned by SWIII-Revenge of the Sith) bringing in $55M in receipts. It's expected to beat out Spiderman for the highest ever opening weekend take. Way to go!

I loved it, but in part because I knew that nothing could quite compare to the first time I saw Jack.

I too left the movie before the credits were over. My DH always like to leave immediately to beat the crowd in the parking lot. LOL like that happened it was a mob scene coming and going. Can someone please PM me the scence at the end of the credits. pirate:

Thank you.

Can you send me a PM too? We waited until the very end of the credits and the STUPID movie theatre turned it off!!! I was pretty sure there would be something!!! STUPID MOVIE THEATRE!!!

Can you PM me too? I had to go to the bathroom way too badly to sit through the credits. I didn't know about the extra scene on POTC 1 either--might have to pop in the dvd tonight.

I hadn't seen the one from the 1st movie either so I watched it the next day.

I can sure understand that. I made a special point of hitting the ladies room just before showtime since I knew it was going to be a long movie. Do make a point of watching Pirates I extra scene.

(I PMed you, stacielee & poochie).

Got it! Thanks! It doesn't seem to me like it will have anything to do with the 3rd movie, but who knows?? I did go back and watch the after-credits scene from the 1st movie. It made the monkey part make sense ;)

I too left, well not really left as we packed up the vehicle as we saw it at the drive in, which BTW was really cool cuz superman was at the other one and there were 6 cars for superman and all you could hear at one point were a bunch of ARGGS. .

anyway, can someone send me as well what I missed??? Thanks!

Don't get too stressed if you missed the extra scene. It's just a cute little snippet. arliepooh68, I'll PM you a copy of what I sent some of the other posters.

Read this off the internet a bit ago:

Johnny Depp's boozy, woozy buccaneer Jack Sparrow has plundered the box office, with "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" taking in a record $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Disney's swashbuckling sequel sailed past the previous all-time best debut, 2002's "Spider-Man," which took in $114.8 million in its first weekend.

thanks for the PMs!!! It is kind of funny as it ended we had all said hmmm wonder about this particular "thing" so that was cute to find that out!
