Postponing Maze Event

Hi,

Just logged on and got the pop up that they are posting the event.

I guess that explains why the pin went away..




We are postponing the VMK Maze Event planned for September 9-12, but we'll be holding a Pin Trading Round-Up in its place. Here's what you need to know:

Set up your Guest Room for Pin Trading and invite others to join you!
The best pin trading rooms have a sense of fun and excitement, but are also well-organized. Show us your version of a rootin' tootin' pin trading room and you could win big!

When:
Friday, 3:00pm - 7:00pm and 8:00pm  10:00pm Eastern
Saturday, noon to 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 10:00pm Eastern
Sunday, noon to 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 10:00pm Eastern
Monday, 3:00pm - 7:00pm and 8:00pm  10:00pm Eastern

When:

Room name must contain the room owner's name followed by "Pin Trading" (example: VMK_Babs Pin Trading).
Rooms should be designed to make trading easy; no games, rides or teleporters please.
All players visiting a Pin Trading room, including the room's owner should be ready and willing to trade the pins they are wearing. If you have pins you don't want to trade, don't wear them.
Judging:

The room must be on the Popular Guest Rooms list to be eligible.
The room owner must be present to be considered.
Members of the VMK Staff will be visiting eligible Guest Rooms between the hours posted above.
There will be one winner for every hour of the competition. That means there are 19 chances to win!
Like last time, we will also be awarding one Grand Prize Winner for each day of the Event.
Previous winners are eligible to enter and win again, but must use a new room design to be considered.
All winners will be announced in the next Newsletter.
Special items in VMK shops:
To celebrate the Grand Opening of Hong Kong Disneyland, several Hong Kong items are in the shops. We also have some new costumes, for this weekend only. Be sure to check back on Monday for some One-Day Only Items!

Trade with VMK staff members:
Just like in a Disney park, VMK Staff members will be trading pins during the event. Any Staff member who is wearing a Goofy hat and is in a Pin Trading Guest Room will trade pins with you. If you see a VMK Staff member wearing a pin in a Pin Trading room, you can ask them to trade with you. If you see a VMK Staff member outside a trading room and/or not wearing a Goofy hat, please don't ask them to trade.

Some notes about trading etiquette:

Please ask a Player first if they would like to trade, and wait for a reply before sending a trade request.
When you're done trading, leave the room so someone else can get in.

Something big must have happened to all of a sudden postpone the maze event. It looks like they all of a sudden had to pull together an event and figured they would try a pin event again.

Well, I guess anyone who wants help from Dis people can post their name and when they will have their room open, and we can come populate again.

It is 3:20 no one else had a pin trading room so I quickly changed my room name and within minutes VMK Blue came into judge. She stayed a little she said she did not know why they changed things. There were a few Community Leaders really complaining that they spent a lot of time and money on their rooms and how could they get ready for a pin even so fast. That type of thing.

I am shocked but with all the connections problems I really saw it being a nightmare.

Ok I am on line for about another half hour. If anyone needs a body in their room I am in the Always Princess Pin Trading room. I will come and see who else is in my room that we can drag along.

I opened my room. I will be visiting other Dis members in a bit. Right now I am sick (in real life) and don't even know if I am going to be able to stay on VMK. I for one am glad the maze was postponed, I don't think I could do it right now.

I got the pop up window too, when I logged in about 3:20. I changed the name of one of my rooms and entered it and I actually got judged by VMK_Blue. It was just before 4 when she was in. I figured that was my best chance before more people got home from work and school. I'm just so excited that I got judged. I tried the celebration contest (no judge), then I tried to trade pins last event and either crashed or got there right when they were finished. This has been a great week on VMK for me. First my CL badge, then I completed my tomorroland retro set from playing a game in VMK_Blue's room, now I actually got judged in an event. I'm so happy, just had to share it with y'all! I'll be checking so I can help other Dis'ers if the event continues all weekend.
