Posting to URL

I am new to the board and discovered while attempting to post an entry to the weekly photo contest that you have to have had a minimum # of posts. Could someone please tell me what the # is? Thank you Sgt.

The moderators don't say exactly how many posts are needed, but I've seen posts from people with around 30-40 posts. What throws some is that at the bottom of the page it says "You may not post attachments" which never goes away.

I asked the same question the other day! I had to do ten posts before i could entry a picture! I don't know if that's always the same?!

Thanks for the replies. I don't disagree necessarily with the requirement but I do disagree if the requirement is different for one person than it is for another.
I believe that this requirement should be printed in the board rules and regulations with the total # of posts required until person is allowed to post to a URL. Sgt.

The minimum number of posts is an anti-spam measure. The number is the same for everyone, and for every board. We don't post the number because it is subject to change. If spammers knew the minimum number, they'd just go make that number of posts somewhere, and then flood the boards with their spam.
