Postcards question!

Hi,

I'm wondering the best place to buy postcards--I'm thinking WalMart or somewhere off-site. Am I correct? Is there a "special" place to mail them off? (like when I was on my honeymoon, you could mail them underwater at this aquarium) Thanks so much!

I've always bought mine on site, but would also like to know if there is a less expensive place to buy them.

My suggestion though is this. Be sure to buy stamps before you leave home. Disney did not sell postcard stamps which are $.26, they only had letter stamps which are $.41. I don't know if they've changed that since I was there. But I was ticked that I had to pay full price.

We bought ours at the SSR gift shop, the Poly gift shop, and at the parks. They were all around $2.00 each. Yes, the gift shops only had the more expensive stamps but the postcards we chose/bought required them (they we all holographic or magnetic). They were really cool postcards by the way! I agree with the other poster, take your own stamps if you are buying standard postcards!

If you can get to the Disney Outlet stores, you can buy post cards in there for 10 cents or so that are selling in the parks for 50 cents a piece or more..

I agree that you should buy before going if you plan on sending regular postcards. We bought stamps before hand from the Post office... Disney Stamps! They were perfect. We bought our postcards from the POR store and they were really nice.. some are the standard ones and others are halographic etc. We sent those to very special folks.

The kids sent them back to their classrooms and the teachers/kids loved that they remembered them while on vacation.
