My mom & dad got the ever elusive postcard for the $49 a night for value/$79 for moderate resorts. I will be the one making the reservations (we are sharing a room) and know that I need to put it in their name. My question is can we book 2 rooms under their postcard/name for the postcard rate?

Also the rate is only available for the first 2 days we arrive - I assume would we only get the postcard rate for those 2 days, right?

Thanks in advance!

i read somewhere on these boards that yes, you may book more than one room w/the postcard rate, as long as the person the card is addressed to is one of the travellers...

enjoy!

After you book a room using a post card "pin" number, do you have to show it to them when you check in? How is the pin number associated with a particular family?? Just wondering. I also live in NJ and have never gotten a post card or an email. I even thought I would since the last time I was down there, while in MGM, I was approached by a cast member to answer a few questions about my experience there so far (kinda like a little survey) and I even gave them my email address.

I too, have wondered how the postcards recipients are selected...I've gotten the recent $49/79 one, and a couple in the past. We've stayed on site multiple times at Fort Wilderness Cabins...hmmm. Anyway, I wonder also if we reserve using the discounted rate and the dates indicated end 2 days later, does the rate go up for the later dates of a stay?

I believe that you would get the rate for the entire time- it depends on when you check in, what your rate will be. Have a great time!

Thanks for the replies. After being on the phone for literally an hour with the CM, I finally got 2 rooms at All Star Movies. I think I got the $49 rate for the entire week, but by the time I finally got off of the phone, I was so relieved that I didn't think to ask. Of course I got one of the CM's who really didn't seem to have a clue, so hopefully everything is okay. Good luck to the rest you you!

We're checking in during a blackout period and I was semi-shocked that the CM didn't even mention it. She just automatically gave me a discounted rate for the whole trip. Must be as long as some of your nights are outside the blackout period, you can get the discount for the whole trip.
