I sent in 2 sets of pc's a week for about 6 weeks. Does anyone know how often they throw them out and start a new batch. I'm guseeing they don't just keep the pool growing...

Good question...I'm about to send some in and would love to know the answer to this.

Plus, is it a good idea to send them the begining of the month? I'm sure there is an expert out there on this topic!

Here's how to enter by mail (I use the pre-stamped postcards sold by the Post Office):

Also, starting on September 18, 2006, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3.5"x5" postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: (i) if a legal resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada or Mexico: P.O. Box 8629, Elmhurst, IL 60126; or (ii) if a legal resident of the United Kingdom: Disney Dream Giveaway, 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS. Participants may enter once per day during the Giveaway Period. All mail-in entries must be mailed separately, postmarked by December 31, 2007 and received by January 14, 2008 or they will be void.

I remember reading on these boards awhile ago that they only keep them for one day. Throw them out and start again. Not sure if this is true but that is why everyone has been sending them off everyday.

My understanding of the rules is as follows:

All the entries that are received on a given day are placed into a box (the rules calls it bundling). There is one box for each day except Sundays. Contest drawings are only done once a month (on the 19th, I think, of each month). So there's about 25 boxes (one for each day of the past month, except Sundays).

On the day they do the drawings, they draw postcards randomly from each box. But they do not throw them out at this point. All of the undrawn post cards from Monday to Saturday of one week are then mixed together for another drawing. Sort of a Sunday drawing.

Thus, each postcard has two chances of winning.

It then takes up to 55 days to be notified of a win. So if you mail a postcard today (April 19), it will not be drawn until May 19, and you won't be notified of a win until about July 14.
