Postage on postcards to Uk from US

Has anyone posted from the US to Uk while on holiday... Is it simply put a stamp on and it will get here or does it need to say airmail ... sorry I know it`s a daft question

When we buy our stamps, we always say they are for postcards to England and the stamps they give us have little planes on them. Think they are about 70c each. We never write airmail on our postcards. Hope this helps

70c for small postcards. We bought our stamps when we bought our cards, I think all WDW shops have them. For the first time this year we used a regular mail box outside WDW and the cards only took 5 days to get to UK. I never even thought to write Airmail on them.

We never bother with postcards. We just send emails from Epcot at the various free computers they have, together with a photo.
