Just a quick question as I know you wonderful people will answer me way before the wonderful people at Disneyland..

I ordered my photopass+. (yeah)
Husband came home from work last night with a notice from the post office. (we have a post box)
is from the post office. saying my photopass+ is there (woohoo:cool1:_
BUT..... postage due..????

I have purchased ppp+ before and never had to pay the post office to pick it up. Im in Washington State..

Have Disney changed their posting policy and now you pay for postage??

Thanks for any feedback.. and yes I have contacted Disney... like I said.. you people will give me info way before them..

I've not ordered any photopass products through the mail before, but it could be possible the person who sent out your mailing made a mistake on the postage (it happens). I'd contact Disney and let them know you had postage due; I doubt that they meant to make you pay for the mailing on your end when it was received.

It probably weighed a little more than Disney thought and they want you to pay the difference. Save the notice and get a receipt if you pay it and then contact Disney and ask for a partial refund.

LizzyS and SMD Thanks for that feedback... thats what I was thinking.. but wanted to be sure so I didnt kick off at the post office.!!! Im already banned from two around my area.. :rotfl2:

My photopass+ came in the mail for me. It was fine. No postage due or anything. Sorry about that :(

PLEASE share this story with us, I am dying to know!

This is the answer I received from Disney, I believe my question was misread..

because when ever I had bought it in the past , I have not been made to pay on top of what I already have paid.. :confused3

Is your carrier holding some sort of grudge against you?

How does one get banned from the Post Office? :scratchin

Disneychrista and LissyS,, Er,, by them staffing the post office with people who have NO idea of what they are talking about.. telling me that I couldn't send a package to Australia, because it was too big. even though the guy next to me was sending 9 larger boxes to Russia.. and I was willing to pay whatever the cost.... and them being unable to explain why they were telling me this..

and the other time.. was because I again was sending a package to Aus and I asked what customs form to fill out, did that .. and spent 10 minutes in line. due to Christmas time.. and then when I got to the desk they yelled at me that it was the wrong form , and then they wouldn't let me pay for it.. and then fill out the form and then drop it back at the desk.. and they wouldn't let me stand at the desk and fill it out.. I had to get out of line and the wait again.. I sort of lost it a bit at that point.. and they told me not to come back.. .

No wonder the Post office is in trouble..!!

Honestly, I feel like their services are too complicated and not the best in general. I can't even remember all the times they've lost something of mine or delivered it ridiculously late. If anything is important, I generally send it via FedEx, whose tracking system isn't a joke. But, in saying that, every shipping service I have ever used has screwed me over at some point. (I do the shipping where I work, also.)

I just don't get how they get away with some of the crap they do... !!

I only go to post offices now if I really have to.. my husband picks our mail up. he is a little more tolerant than I am :)

We ship probably a hundred packages a week via eBay sales. And a lot of them are foreign / overseas.

Each country has different rules and regulations about the size of packages that are allowed to be shipped there. Australia has the smallest size limits and often we can not ship items to our customers there because of that. You can not pay more and get them to send it. Russia (which until recently eBay did not let us ship to due to too many fraud claims ie "lost packages") allows for larger items as do many other countries.

Because we have been doing this for 15+ years we know our way around the postal system and do everything at home and just drop things off instead of waiting in lines. Most of the time the postal employees only know the rules but the not reason behind them so they are totally clueless as how to explain things especially during the craziness of the holiday season. There have been times when my husband has had to explain things to either the postal worker or the customer they are helping because both are confused by the differing foreign shipping policies.

I have never seen employees making people wait in line again though... when a person isn't ready they always let them step off to the side then take them again when they have finished filling out whatever they needed to.
