Our Dinner at Fulton's Crab House 7/2/05.

I love crab and my boyfriend loves lobster so of course we made a ps for Fultons. When we got there we had a 10-15 minute wait so we sat a the bar and I had a martini while he had a beer. We requested to be seated outside and we had a perfect view of Disney's Marketplace, it was so romantic...and I have to say that it was the best meal and service I have ever had :cool1:

MY Watermellon Martini

Portabello Mushroom Fries, Bottle Water, Strawberry Daquri, Beer and Bread

Crakers and Homemade Dip they give you

2 - 1 & 1/4 lb boiled Maine Lobsters - my boyfriend got this and he loved them!

Crab Claws - OH SO GOOD! The meat fell right out!

Dessert - Sour Cherry Cobbler, Key Lime Pie, and Chocolate Creme Burlee

This is Tourture!!! I am drooling over this food while trying to choke down a dry pop tart for lunch!!!!!! I want to go now!!!!! :earseek:

This is going to be an odd question, but are the entrees at Kona as small as they look? I thought the shrimp and scallops sounded good until I saw the picture - it looks like an appetizer! And the desserts look really small, too. Is it just perspective or are things really in very tiny portions?

It does look small, but I'm still ordering it. I'll have the bisque too. :cool1:

I posted a teppanyaki photo on pg 78 and someone else posted one earlier in the thread.

You might get some funny looks, but mostly from the people in your party. I actually heard someone say something about it at another table, she said "I would have never thought to take pictures of my food! What a great idea!" The hard part is getting everyone to let you take pics of the food before they dig in. My 4 y/o nephew became the food picture police... he would yell at anyone who reached for a spoon or folk before I was able to snap a picture! :rotfl:

I don't know about the Shrimp and Scallops, as they looked small on the picture to me too! But i ate there in January and had the Char Crusted Medallions of Filet Mignon and my DH had the Prime Rib, and those servings were large, we split dessert and almost didn't finish it!

The "size" of the portions can be a bit deceiving in some pictures. It may look small, but at many places the food is on a BIG plate so it just makes it look smaller!

Here are some picks for our dinner at Les Chefs de France.

Exactly, my kids and DH call me the food nazi! They know better than to touch the food before I take a picture of it. My kids actually show me their food and tell me to take pictures of it before they'll eat it. :rotfl:

DH laughs at me but I know he likes looking at the food porn thread.

Just wondering ...what's up with the green crayon and for the penne pasta do they not serve some kind of sauce with it? Is it just noodles?

jenelope, the duck was excellent. It didn't taste like I thought it would, so it took a few bites to really enjoy the flavor. But, once it hits you, it was something to savor.

WDW1st-timers, the green crayon is a joke from my DW who likes to include items to help "scale" a picture. It goes back to college when a professor used to include a pocket watch in all of his photos for scale.

Here are the translations for the entrees (these are not literal translations for those of you who know French :earsboy: ):

Canard a l'orange, haricots vert - orange duck with green beans (and sweet potato mash).

Thon poelle avec salade d'orzo aux fruits de mer - tuna served over orzo pasta with calamari and peppercorns

Demi poulet fermier a la broche, pommes puree au basilic et tomate braisee - chicken with mashed potatoes and braised tomato
