Post Your Monorail Shutdown Reports Here

The monorail was scheduled to begin its maintenance schedule today beginning at 1130 AM. Anyone have any first hand reports how things are going? Particularly interested in how the transportation from MK resorts to Epcot is working, and transportation between the monorail resorts.

Are they sticking with the plan of bussing people to the TTC and connecting to the Epcot monorail? Does this same bus do the monorail loop connecting the resorts? Is it very inconvenient? Anyone know the stop order?

Trying to plan for our upcoming stay! Thanks to anyone who has info.

Maybe it is all the complaints about FP+ and the thread about the Monorail being down, but my Freudian reading of this title was to read the word "outage" as "outrage".

I misread the title, too, and almost did not open the thread.

To make things clearer, I suggest that you might want to EDIT your TITLE to something like,

"Monorail Shutdown Times-Reports Here"

You can EDIT the TITLE of a thread that you originally posted in two ways-

1- Do not open the thread, but in the listing,
double-click in the dead-space just to the RIGHT of the thread title.
When the title "highlights," just retype the title and hit the RETURN/ENTER key.

2- Open the thread.
In the lower right corner, click on "Edit."
When that page opens, in the lower right corner, click on "Go Advanced."
In the box at the top of that page, retype your title.
In the lower center, click on "Save Changes."

Don't know if this helps as I am not there but the monorail maintenance is not supposed to effect the EPCOT line. That one is running normally it is the MK lines that are closed during the day

I'm anxiously awaiting some reports. I just cancelled our park hoppers, since I think it will be too much extra hassle this time around.

There are now direct buses between the MK GATES and DHS and DAK (no trip to TTC required.)
If the monorail is down, expect a direct bus to/from the MK GATES and Epcot.

What? Since when? Everything I've read (I think even from you lol) has said that in order to get from MK or a monorail hotel to Epcot it will require going to the TTC and then the Epcot monorail if it runs.

If there is a direct bus from MK to Epcot that makes things easier, for CR/BLT guests at least.

MK to/from EPCOT, only if the monorails are shut down.

MK to/from DAK and DHS, all the time.

Which monorails though? I've been told the whole time when Epcot monorail is operating like normal there are no busses directly to Epcot even if the two MK lines are down.

Is this wrong? Are there direct Epcot busses when the Epcot monorail is running? Please say yes.

I can't give you a direct answer.

That's one of those things that can depend on who is in charge during the time in question.

I can tell you that they generally run an Epcot bus between Contemporary, Poly and Grand Floridian when the Resort Monorail is down.

Hmm, okay, I'll keep my fingers crossed then.

Did they do that during the last out(r)age? Seems like everyone else who answered from past experience has said that there was a TTC bus, not a direct Epcot one.
