Post your free dining savings/info here!

Saved $936 for an 8 night stay with my family of four (12 year old on adult plan)! :cheer2:

Technically, it's not a savings. We were originally booked for 12/23-12/31 and paying for the dining plan. Our cost was $5096.00. I changed our check in to 12/17 to take advantage of free dining so now we are staying 12/17 - 12/31 and the cost is $5171.24. A total cost of $75.24 for 4 adults to stay 6 extra nights!!!

I'll take it!!!

We have to do a split stay because of my hubby’s conference. I’ve never been a fan of free dining (can never get the numbers to work out right) but I looked at it again for this year. I booked Port Orleans French Quarter (where we have never stayed, so that is a bonus) for 3 nights arriving 1/27. We have 4 adults (all over 21) so the cost of the room will be a little higher because of the extra charge. I booked the vacation with a 2 day pass, but I’m going to either call back and upgrade or just upgrade when we get there, for 3 of the passes to be 7 days and 1 of the passes to be 4 days (also, they are hoppers). The cost of the trip this way (with the free dining) is 2022.44. If I booked the trip without the free dining (and without a room only discount), the cost would be 2237.80. I got this amount by estimating how much we would spend on food, eating where we typically at (not usually table service). I saved 215.36 this way. However, we have always wanted to eat at Cinderella’s castle, so this would be our chance. Working the cost of that into the deal, I saved 315.36. Either way, it’s a savings. And who would pass up a savings? We were originally going to go with annual passes and come back next year for a second trip, but we decided to table that plan for another year. I’ll regret that decision next fall, I’m sure!!!

2 Adults, 1 child 1 infant
6 nights 7 Days @ All Stars Music
7 Day Water Parks & More
Free QSD

Saved $ 630 !:thumbsup2

We're booked in our dream vaca of Poly, 1/8-1/15, TPV, Club Level with hopper passes all the days (which, we'll probably remove 1 day, maybe 2...). 2 adults, 2 kids.

Originally it was over $8500 *holy sheep*

We took down the price by about $1000 with FD. Not knocking the free dining, but man, a 40% off room code would sure be a great thing for us. LOL

While not having buyers remorse, I'm really wondering if that $1500 is worth the TPV vs a garden view. We still want to stay club level, regardless. decisions, decisions!

Free dining caused us to hit a home run...6 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter with free dining and park hoppers...$2050.00....Amount I have on my Disney Chase Visa card in points...$2075!!!

It's a free trip thanks to free dining...Hip Hip Hooray...it has taken 5 years of using that card for business and personal expenses...but we did it! For most things, we were check-folks...but I moved us to this card and operated it just like a checking account...large expense...charge then pay off!

Happy Family planning a very Merry Week Before Christmas!

$300 + another $1200 on food if I am calculating right

:woohoo::woohoo:

We have AP's and I assumed the AP room only discount and paying for DDP OOP would be cheaper...nice helpful CM ran the numbers and FD was $40 more than room only AP discount with DDP BUT....we have $350 worth of tickets we will not use on this trip that can be applied to our AP renewals....so $40 more now and $350 less later when we renew our AP's!!
Pretty sweet deal IMHO

So I am figuring it will save us $310 in the long run. :cool1:

7 nites, Pop, standard room, 2 adults, 2 day base tickets, upgrade to regular DDP = $1275

Same room and DDP with no passes with AP discount =$1231
