Post your Disney Jar pic here, please

All of you are so unbelievably creative. I love it!

Here is the "jar" we are currently using:

The kids and I are working on creating our own homemade Disney Fund jar, but the store-bought Disney bank will forever be special to me because it signifies the moment that DH caught the Disney fever. It was the last day of our trip in February 2008. We ducked into some store in MK to buy a few souvenirs. I saw DH walking around clutching something, but I couldn't make out what it exactly was. When I met him at the cash register, he was holding the bank. I just looked questioningly at him and he said, "I love this place. We're coming back. Let's start saving." :lovestruc

LOVE THIS! And we have the same bank!

Here's our bank. I found this Dopey piggy bank at a thirft store for 50 cents. My daughter put the Mickey ears from her stuffed animal on top.

I'll try to get a photo posted soon, but until then...

We have a huge glass water dispenser jug that a friend personalized. It has Mickey carrying a suitcase with my DS's name and he's heading to Cinderella's castle, which is off in the distance. So cute!!! :wizard:

My house was broken into 3 weeks ago. Only two things were stolen, my TV and my half full 5 gallon water bottle with Disney savings. I was more sad about the change jar! :sad1:

What a great story!!

We have this same jug for our money jar. Ours is used for any travel though, so it's not decorated or anything. I was SHOCKED last year when we counted and came out with $485! And, it looked SO empty!

This time, we're saving in this jar for 18 months. So it'll be interesting to see how much we have. I'd love to see your picture in 2 years!

Yea, ours has been through a few vacations also.. that's why there's so much tape stuck to it (can't get it off), lol!! Just keep changing it to whatever we're saving for at the time.

I sure hope I can get $485 by the time we leave, that would be awesome!

Here's our Mickey Money box

I'm sad because our trip is a suprise for the kids so we can't use our Mickey Money box because they would know we were planning! However, our family is currently using a tropical themed decorated box saving for a cruise.

wow, i just posted a thread of ours, didn't see this one.

just started ours tonight after buying this 7" tall mug from Michaels and decorating it with Tink stickers.

What cute ideas!

Ours is an Enfamil formula canister with the label ripped off and a slot cut into the lid. :rotfl: My child is now 5! Probably time to upgrade.

Me too! My son has been off formula for 4 months but the canister is the perfect size. I am going to decorate it though. :)

Giant Vlasic pickle jar from BJ's Wholesale Club. I used one of my Mickey head pancake molds as a template on one side and then just lettered the rest. It's currently also doctored up with a bunch of Disney stickers.

ALL
of the money in it smells like pickles! lol

Ours is a pickle jar too that my DD decorated with Disney Stickers and wrote "chi-ching" on it. That is the first thing she tells everyone about our disney fund...that it smells like pickles. If I knew how to post pics I would add it lol

We use a Mason Jar that sits in our kitchen, every time it gets full I load a Disney Gift Card with the amount, that way we don't spend the money on anything else...we just started in July and already have $100 in Disney Gift Cards!!!!! :goodvibes

I love your idea! Awesome! :cheer2:Now I need to hide the jar :goodvibes

GREAT thread! I love seeing everyone's pictures. Thanks for sharing. We do not have one. Dh and I are going to WDW in 16 days. I plan on making one for our next trip (Oct 2011).

How fun!

Mine's seen better days... and really needs some attention as far as being "fed"... it's just a hat box I decorated with glitter and scrapbook stickers:)

Sorry for the photo quality. Just snapped some pics real quick with my phone.

LOVE your gift card idea!! We also have a mason jar and it's full. I have been trying to think about what to do with the money and I think I will use this idea to cash it in for a gift card. Brilliant! Thanks so much!

We are also using the Disney Castle piggy bank!! My DS age 2 got it as a gift from the grandparents when they got home from their last trip to Disney this past February. He has been putting any change he can find in it since. We literally never have spare change laying around because he is quick on it. My DH and I have also been adding any extra cash we get. I sold some stuff at a local consignment sale and that also went into it. Total we have almost $500 in it. Our trip is in a little over a month and we can't wait!!!

Ours was just a plain giant pickle jar, but this thread inspired me to decorate it, so we just made a label for it yesterday! Our kids laugh that the money smells like pickles too! It's currently empty, because we just cashed it in for our upcoming trip in October for about $350.

That is so sad. :sad1:

What a bummer...
