I already had mine booked when the dinning came out. I called today to change everything from 4 to 5 guest and was able to keep all times the same. We also added 2 nights we were going to stay offsite for 1st and last night to save money but with free dinning it would be cheaper to stay onsite.

I thought you could use your first nights meals on the day you leave, but not after, in other words if you arrive at 11pm and no way can you eat your 2 meals that day, you can save them for the day your leaving, (lets say you depart at 6pm...cant you do your meals that day?)

At the very least, save the counters for an evening meal and double your dinner coupons for a 5 star meal

You can use them when ever and how ever you'd like too. What you get is 1-TS, 1-CS, & 1-Snack per each person on the ressies per NIGHT. So if your staying for 5 nights and say there is 2 people in your party you'd get 10 of each TS,CS, & snack. They are all pooled together and when you use one it will tell you how many credits you have remaining on the bottom of your receipt. Your credits expire @ midnight on you departure day. So if you wanted to use your credits before you went home you could! Hope this helps.

Just made my FREE dining reservations! My cast member was wonderful, so nice to wait til 11pm to call because of the time difference and hear a cheery helpful voice on the other end. No problems finding reservation times for solo diners either.

I'm really pleased that I'm visiting 6 restaurants I haven't been to before (I went to Mama Melrose and Le Cellier twice each in December) and because it's free I'm not worrying at all that I might waste money on a restaurant that turns out to be a dud.

Anyone else out there keep changing your ADRs? After seeing that great spreadsheet done by Robinb (thanks!), I have changed mine around again to include some of the restaurants that give you the best value per credit. Next time we go, we're doing the land/sea and food will be paid OOP, so saving most of the character buffets for then! Now I've got:

Somehow I ended up getting to go on 2 trips for Free Dining! Once with my DH, DM, & DB and then a 'girls only' trip!
And I didn't have any trouble at all getting the times I wanted.

Can anyone tell me if the fantasmic dinner package counts as one table service meal? Or can you even do the fantasmic dinner package on the dinning plan? btw does my list sound good?

Yes, the Fantasmic Dinner Package counts as 1 TS meal per person. It is really a great deal, it just went into effect this year. Your list sounds great, off to post mine!!
