Got my packet Friday. I'm #5365 for the full and #23110 for the half.

Craig, I'm wondering if you're right about the numbers being grouped by corrals/waves for the races. That would make sense. Krista and I are trying to figure out if we'll be grouped in the same "set of corral" (either A-D or the elites and E-G if it's similar to last year). If it helps for figuring out trends, my time for the full last year was 4:44 and I had a 1:56 finish time for a half last year.

I wonder if all of us who start with 3 will be in wave C together.

Does anyone know how many registrants they allow for the half? If it is more than 10,000 then my theory of 3=C probably doesn't hold up.

I registered in June...I think...in case that's a factor.

I think you are right, the numbers are likely Red/Blue and corral driven. In theory this helps the gatekeepers ensure the right folks are in the right starting zones. I guess I need to really pick up the pace this year to get a hotter number in 2008.

You and I are also likely in the same full corral. My 2007 registration times were from my Goofy times of 2:05 and 4:47 in 2006, very close to your proof of expected times.

I think Craig and others are right. If I am correct in my perception of those participants that I know, I believe the estimated finish times are driving the number assignments.

Howard got his packet yesterday with numbers for the half and full but I forgot to make a note of them.

Anyone else want to share their numbers?
