Just got back from my trip 8/14-22 and reality has set it. I went back to work the next day so I haven't had time to think about it but it just hit me. Our next trip will not be until 2014 so I'm suffering withdrawls and depressed. We did a split stay this trip with 4 days in a 1 bdrm in BW and a 2bdrm in AK Kidani. Crowds were a little lighter than I expected with never wiaitng for anything much more than a half hour. We had two meals in the parks one at le cellier and one in mexico and neither disppointed. I did think le cellier was a bit pricey but the food was really good. I have to say with my first time at AK savanah view that we really enjoyed the stay here. Room seemed roomy and comfortable and AK will be on my radar from now on. The only drawback to AK i thought was the remoteness of it. Getting to DTD area or some of the offsite restaraunts we enjoy seemed like it took forever to get to. With that AK will be a close 1st choice to my usual OKW or SSR. Overall great trip and I might need to keep away from the boards for a while so I can forget how much I will miss everything. :(

Ugh, I feel you. I know that horrible post disney blues feeling all too well. The only known cure is another trip, I'm sorry to say. Plan away!

It really isn't much fun having that time between trips.

We had an AP and did 3 trips last year, and used enough points to take 14 months off, its hard not going.

Good luck and glad you had a great trip and low crowds, and hope time goes fast until your next trip.

I hate that feeling. Last time we came back from WDW, we came home to a busted water heater - and water leaked into one bedroom - and yes - we had a house sitter staying in that room who didn't notice. Reality really slapped us in the face. Even when my next trip is far away - I still plan. What new restaurants do I want to try? Where do I want to stay? 2014 will be here before you know it.

We returned home yesterday. :(

I am toying with the idea of another trip before the end of the year. We have a lot going on right now, so it probably is just a pipe dream.

:) Our next trip is 10/26-11/02 for Halloween. My Halloween decor is out already to get me in the mood. The week or two before the trip I will put up the Christmas Trees. Yes, we leave them unlit so the neighbors do not think I am completely wacko....but having them to light when we return helps with the depression...a lot.

Don't worry DH looks at me like that, too...:sad2:

I find that having other trips reserved and ready for planning helps with this problem, even if just weekend trips to the beach.

We have been fortunate to visit WDW 2-3 times a year since 2008. We experience post-trip depression, but it doesn't last too long. Starting in July 2013, we will start several years of once a year summer trips due to having a school aged child. I will have to use DIS and other websites to keep me from thinking about being at Disney. I already tap into d-cot jukebox a few times a week to get my fix!

Glad to see others feel this way too. I know I said i'd try to keep away from the boards but it's helping me cope :goodvibes

I know exactly how you feel. But as fast as time goes(and it seems to go faster and faster the older I get!), you will be back there in no time. Start planning! :goodvibes

The same feeling hit me so hard when we got home from our June trip. So much so I booked a free dining package for november. My husband really wants me to cancel it since "we were just there in june" lol I love reading the disboards to keep me informed of changes, and to look over trip reports and dining reports. I like to doing disney exchanges once and a while to..that's fun and helps the time pass!
