I will definitely do that because I agree - it's not just about getting to the rides early! I love to amble down Main St, stopping at the bakery, etc. - I don't love tearing down Main St. shoulder to shoulder with other guests just trying to make it through! Who do I write to?

I sent the email through the disney.com site. I went under vacations to "Explore Theme Parks and More". The I clicked on WDW. I scrolled to the bottom of the page to "Guest services", and that got me to their email. There may be an easier way, but I am not aware of it.

I can certainly understand why everyone is so upset about the recent cutbacks Disney has made. But, when I really thought about it I realized something. If it's less crowded, is it really that big a deal that EE's aren't happening or if the parks are closing early. If you can get everything done as per usual, what's the big deal? Less crowds, along with fastpass, should alleviate long lines and make it easier to see and do everything. I guess to be fair though we don't take advantage of EE's anymore because the park with EE seems to be the most crowded - so we avoid it. And, I don't mind the early closing because it forces us to relax - as long as I can see and do everything I had hoped for.

Just a thought.

I do agree, however, that Disney should announce the changes instead of being secretive and getting folks down there to find out the hard way.

We're leaving Friday 11/30 for our next trip. This trip has been in the works for almost a year. It'll be myself, DH, DD (6), DM and DF.

Here are some of the reasons that I am NOT mad about the recent changes at WDW.

11/30 we're staying at ASM. We hate this place but it's a place to sleep for the night and WE'LL BE AT DISNEY WORLD!!!

12/1-12/3 and 12/6-12/7 we're staying at the Marriot Cypress Harbour. I'd rather not stay offsite but my parents had points to burn so it's free and WE'LL BE AT DISNEY WORLD!!!

12/4-12/5 we'll be staying at AKL. We arranged these days specifically to take advantage of EE at MK. Canceled. Phooey, that's ok because we can't wait to see this resort and WE'LL BE AT DISNEY WORLD!!!

We've never seen B&TB show at MGM it was closed last year because Rosie was using the venue. Limited shows this year. Well we'll be sure to see on one of the days that it is playing.

12/5 MGM is closing at 4:00 12/4 MK is closing early (maybe). CP shows are cancelled. 5000 members of the media and a bazillion Pop Warner cheerleaders. Oh joy!

Park hours are being slashed, hotels are being closed, parades are being cancelled. Rides closed. I'm still not sure that we got the whole MVMCP PS thing right!!! The WDW website doesn't list hours. It's gotten really difficult to plan with so many changes and so much uncertainty.

No Cinderalla's PS for breakfast because the CM that took my call was too dang slow.

Oh yeah I forgot, Regis and Kelly

You know what, none of this matters. My family is going to Disney World in five days and WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!

(I am really mad because DH says that he wants to go some place else for our next vacation  ) DL maybe??!!!:D

I will be apart of these bazillion Pop Warner cheerleaders parents.
We are going down from 12/5 - 12/9 as our daughters team placed 2nd at our regionals.
I'm not happy about the cuts that I have been reading about since our last visit this summer.
But we will enjoy ourselves as we are very proud of our daughter
and her team for making it to the Nationals at WDW.:bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce: :pinkbounc

We are leaving on December 9th. Most of the cutbacks don't really concern me. With 2 small children the EE was not even used. I would use if more if we went there in the summer or peak times. This time of year if you wait 20 minutes in line that is a long time. We go this time of year all the time and the park hours are the same as the usually are. We usually don't get to the park until 9:30ish and are gone before 5:00 most days.

I don't stay on property to get the EE, I stay for the atmosphere. Cast members are polite and cater to your every whim. I love the service, not the perks. You can't say that for many hotels. I have never met a rude CM.

hi everyone..........i got a call from disney today and talk to a gentermen name parker today..........he was nice but he told me that the early entrys are not coming back at all and it not becouse of sept 11 it was becouse of the fact the early entry was not being use to much and not to many people were not taking advantage of it all......and epcot opening later was becouse the park is not a really busy or a very popular park......they told me that there are lot of new things at dinsney since i been down there and i was there last sept and i love disney but if they can not give us back the early enters that i use becouse my son does better in the morning then the afternoon..... what people wanted was to see more charecters at the resort and more charecters are the parks so that is why they took early entrys away......makes me so sad that the hour are being cut so much and i really want to go in a couple of years and i am hoping the early enty come back that he is not giving me any hope at all.............so what do people think now about this......the prices for tickets keep going up and they keep taking away from the guest certin thing we like about disney.......i think the price should come on the tickets and or give us back the early entry that we look forward to.............................tammie:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:    :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc :pinkbounc

Personally, I think resort guests prefering the character caravan over EE is ridiculous. Didnt we do a poll here on this and EE won out with like 80 or 90 something percent?

I also dont like that they are bringing back Enights and not EE. Enights favor older kids and adults, but they are useless for young kids like mine(almost 2 & almost 5) who dont do those big rides and are up before the crack of dawn anyway. I find it amusing when people who defend the "No more EE" say now you can sleep in on vacation. They obviously dont know my kids, LOL!
Honestly, I was thinking of getting APs this year and activating them this August, with 1 or maybe 2 more trips to come. Since Ive heard about EE, I really dont think we will do it this year. That was such a major perk for us. :(

Maybe I am in the minority but the loss of EE doesn't matter to me. We didn't use it when DS was little and have never used it. I feel for those that will miss it. CamColt, if there poll were that lopsided I guess I would apply the silent majority theory, but I could be wrong.

Tammie, as far as cutback hour,s short of the Thanksgiving Week crowds, reports are the crowds have been so light EE is not necessary.

If there is an upside to this (although I never used EE either) it will more evenly distribute guests throughout all 4 parks every day rather than making one park miserably overcrowded each day. I am probably in the minority too.

Just spoke with a friend who just got back from WDW. She said they quit trying to go to the parks at opening time because the lines were so long to go through security.

Early entry sure would be a nice perk to get around this problem! I'm getting very concerned about our upcoming trip in March. I'll have to watch and see how things go over the holidays.

Just leave the backpacks, fanny packs, purses, etc behind if at all possible... it should cut down on the problem!

how can anyone be mad.. they do what they had to do and now E-Nights are back- i am happy wit hwhat they are doing - The security is Perfect and i am going dec. 26th and 27th.! I love Disney

I used to carry my cameras in a camera bag or back pack. I will be willing to NOT do that, if it will speed up the security. BUT, I'm willing to put money on the fact that you will not be able to talk the majority of people into doing the same. I'm not sure what people are carrying in those back packs. I know people with small children have to carry all kinds of diaper supplies, etc. I would expect that those people will create the biggest back ups at security. And I don't see any way around this problem, other than not bringing children that small into the parks. That is not going to happen. Disney wouldn't want that and neither would those who have the small children.

If you have nothing to be searched, then you can just go line up at the entrance gates, am I correct? Then it won't matter whether those with backpacks, diaper bags, etc bring them or not. How is the security configured? It there a line for everyone to go through regardless before you can get to the turnstiles? Maybe I missed something when it was explained before. If you have been there since this was instituted, could you please explain? Thanks:)

It seems to me that everyone is still keeping with their WDW plans, so I am a little confused as to why WDW feels the need to "jump the gun" and start taking away perks that were used quite often by their guests. I have not heard one person say, "oh I am cancelling my trip due to terrorism" I have heard them say they were a bit nervous and such, but were still going and the people who went to DW say it's still just as crowded as ever! So, I would like to know how Disney justifies cutting their park hours! Personally, I think with the crowds they are never open enough, so I am a bit disappointed in them!

Oh and as far as them not knowing about EE being cancelled, lol, you call CRO five times and get five different answers no matter what!

OBTW, has anyone gotten a response from Disney yet?

Thanks!

Just back on 12/3. I know that at AK and MK the security guards specifically announced periodically "If you do not have any bags, please step right through over here" and those people could bypass the lines of those of us who had bags. I don't remember hearing this at Epcot and MGM, but I really wasn't paying attention as I did have a bag with me.
