We just returned. Stayed 5 nights at Boardwalk. My husband and i have been multiple times but this was our first time with our first child, our baby girl 11 months. it was A LOT of work but i still have post disney depression! i ALWAYS would get this feeling with previous trips and didn't think i would get it this time since our baby girl was a handful. we did have help, my in-laws came with us. i'm so sad to be home from the happiest place on earth! any words of wisdom? ALSO, when does the new princess part open in magic kingdom? i think that's the next time we will go! is it 2013? thanks so much!

We just got back from an 8 night stay on Sunday and there hasn't been a day that has gone by where each of has said "I want to be back in Disney!". We are making ourselves happy by planning another trip sooner than originally planned (May 2011 instead of 2012). An addiction for sure :). I think the expansion is set to be done in 2012, but there are better experts on here to answer that one.

I think saying a toast to Disney with some Veuve Cliquot would help chase away the post-trip blues. Especially a toast with a fellow Disney loving friend that needs a break from her puppy monster.

Hmm, do you have any fellow Disney loving friends around that have a little puppy monster. :rolleyes1

Right now, I think most of the expansion is supposed to be done by the end of 2012. Dumbo and the fairy forest area will be done in 2013.

Post Disney Depression is the worst! We walk around telling each other to have a magical day!

Making our scrapbook was very theraputic for me! Going through the pictures and seeing myself,my kids and hubby sooo happy and remembering the fun made me happy again! Plus it was a lot of work so it kept my mind off of it! :)

We STILL have post-disney depression and our trip was May 2009!! Even my little guy (3 now) comes up to us at least once a week (shoes on and ready to go) and says "Come on Mommy, lets go" I ask "Where are we going?" He says "To Disney World". I tell him we can't - it's too far away. He says "But I just wanna go too far away!" DS6 drew a picture of me and him for Mother's day. There is a very obvious Mickey Mouse beside me. I asked him what Mickey was doing. He said "I couldn't fit him on your shirt so I drew him beside you!":goodvibes I guess I do wear a lot of Disney shirts!!

Our next trip is October 2010 and we can't wait! DS6 wants to ride ToT first (loved it last year) and DS3 can't wait to ride Dumbo and see Woody, Buzz & Lightning! Only 145 days to go!!

We have been back a month and still go around... a month ago we were leaving for Disney, a month ago we were eating at....

It's a compulsion... but once Disney gets in your blood it's all over.:lmao:

Yes yes yes... I thought I was the only one...lol we just got back 5/8 and it was our first trip... I was actually inquiring about employment at Disney:). Me and my family had the most unbelievably greatest time there. I took atleast 2000 pics and video after videos of shows, parades and just walking around...At times I was annoying my daughter and wife but now being home she understands and more appreciates it. haha...We are planning a trip for next year and my Mother-inlaw wants to go which I/we can't wait to do. I have alot of great memories now of us and find myself daydreaming and people asking me what I am smiling about... Disney has filled our hearts with alot of love and hope and was very theraputic for us getting out of the everyday grind... We are hooked:thumbsup2.

i will be in your boat soon my husband leaves for pre iraq deployment training and the day he leaves i'm taking my daughter and neice to disney world for a week, it will be very hard to come home to that very empty house which i then have to pack up for my absense becaues i'm pregnant and have no one here if i had problems so i have to move closer to family... i am certain to be a basket case.
