Post-Cruise Vancouver flights?

I live in Vancouver and in normal times fly from there often, between the length of the flight and the time difference, flying to the east coast from Vancouver is pretty much an all day affair. I wouldn’t plan on working the next day.

I figured as much, but I was hoping for someone to magically tell me I could get home Monday evening and be ready for work on Tuesday with no problems!

Yea unfortunately the time difference is a killer. I also find the jet lag to be worse in that direction but some people find it’s worse going west.

We are also cruising to Alaska out of Vancouver August 2022 and flying from the midwest. What is the earliest that they recommend booking return flights for disembarkation day? Is a 1pm flight realistic? Also trying to avoid getting back so late at night.

Pre pandemic I think a 1pm would be realistic. You do need to allow time to deal with both security and customs. If you have Nexus both are faster. I’m not sure if it’s going to take longer in a post pandemic world or not.

We are in the UK, and doing the Alaska cruise next August.
Instead of flying home to the UK on disembarkation day, we are considering flying to SNA or LAX and spending 3 or 4 nights at Disneyland as we'll already be on the west coast.
So thankyou for the information about a 1pm onwards flight out being the best time.
