Same here! I was at 15,500 something and now I'm back down to 10,000!

I had just hit 8000 not long ago. I lost around 3500 posts! Does that mean just the post count change or are 3500 on my posts missing if I searched for something that I had posted earlier?
No, post count doesn't matter that much but if you knew how slow I typed, you'd know why I made this face.

I'd like to know how you guys know exactly how many posts you had? Do you write them down at the end of each day so you can verify them the next day?

I have no clue whether I've lost or gained posts and honestly, I really don't care. What's the big deal anyway?

jules, speaking for myself, it's not a big deal, but it is sort of starnge. i know approximately how many posts i have because i noticed the other day i was almost to 6000.

it can't have anything to do with the circle of life board b/c i definately lost some (about 400, i think) and i never posted there.

Beccy, I think I noticed something interesting. I have a couple of very old posts printed because I liked the contents of them so I have some post counts from like 1 1/2 years ago posted on my wall here at work. So honestly I think that after looking at some of the post counts there and comparing to now, I think that the posts from the old Infopop board aren't being counted anymore like they used to. I don't know how much MJ posted from Jan 2001-April 2001 but that could be why her count is right (or very very close) but others aren't. I know mine wasn't affected by too much (I think, honestly am not sure) but I also didn't post back then the way I do now. I think that might be a "cause" but I don't know if I am right. Yes I know I am odd, but I am always a curious person and I love to try to figure things out.

Oh and Beccy, I sure know about that curiosity thing quite well
