Post Count to Post Photos?

I tried poking around the FAQ and guidelines and was not able to find what the post count requirement is to be able to post/attach pictures directly into my posts. Can anyone help me out?

Please read the FAQ thread stickied at the top of this board for how to post photos. You only need 10 posts to be able to include a photo link in your posts.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, but as I stated above, what I'm asking about is posting actual pictures not picture links. I can already post picture links and I know how to do it and I did see that information in the FAQ. I am looking to be able to post actual pictures directly into my posts and I know that there is a post count minimum that has to be met before I can do that. That is the information I am after.

You can only post links to an online hosting site. No one is allowed to attach photos.

There are several Planning Journals and Trip Reports in various parts of this forum that show otherwise.

The Video Tutorial doesn't seem to be working so I have updated the FAQ thread on this board with written out instructions (the link is also in my signature). Basically you have to upload your photos to a photo hosting site and then use the appropriate IMG link code in your post.

There are several Planning Journals and Trip Reports in various parts of this forum that show otherwise.

It looks like you are able to post photos. Like this.

But it's just a link to my blog posted photo of Alcatraz, which also puts a copy of the photo in here. That's what we do on our trip reports. You can't just paste it in a forum, you need a link to an external site.

Thank you for the clarification. I am on another forum that uses the same format as DISboards, but they handle posting photos differently. It was becoming increasingly frustrating that DISboards looked the same but didn't operate the same.

I've successfully posted pictures in my PJ now!

Great! Glad that you were able to get it figured out. Yes, it can be frustrating that other forums are set up differently. I have the same problem with other forums that I use.
