DH and I will be alone...going to the 6pm show.

Any recommendations for where to eat at DTD afterwards?

My family really enjoys Raglan Road. I think that the music starts about 9 PM and we always try to schedule dinner so we are just finishing up when the entertainment begins.

I second Raglan Road! It's great!

If not, maybe The House of Blues?

For a 6pm show, does 8:30 leave enough time after Cirque to get to the restaurant?
I was thinking it's later than we usually eat, but we could get drinks and starters instead and enjoy the show.
Any thoughts?

Many of the DTD restaurants are open very late. So you should have plenty of time after the show. My suggestion is House of Blues.

I believe the music at RR starts around 8pm now, though I can't be sure. We never eat that early when we dine there!

All Downtown Disney spots serve dinner very late.

When we did Cirque, we tried to eat at Bongos and had such a terrible start, we walked out and went to WPCafe - which was excellent. The person we were meeting was not interested in Raglan Road, which would have been my #1 choice.

I realize you specifically asked for a DTD restaurant, however let me offer a different approach. On about 4 different occasions, I've booked Jiko @ 8:15. You'll get out of Cirque about 7:40. You can walk out front and catch a cab to AKL, and be there there in about 10 min. This gives you plenty of time to walk out the back of the Lodge, view the animals for a bit, then comfortably meander back inside to Jiko for a memorable evening! Be sure to say "hi" to Brian (bartender), and ask for Luscious to be your waiter. You'll love it!

When we were at RR the music started at 9:00, it was very entertaining!!

I'm afraid at Downtown Disney all you can do is hope for the best. The restaurant choices are not the best the area has to offer.
Raglan Road is acceptable -- keep in mind this is not authentic Irish food but more of a stylized, creative version. House of Blues can do some good stuff too.
Avoid Bongos at all costs -- it's an embarrassment to those of us who live here and know what Cuban food should taste like. Wolfgang Puck Cafe was so bad that Puck told me a year ago that he considered asking the owners (Levy Restaurants) to take his name off the restaurant. Perhaps it's changed.
Levy also owns Fulton's Crab House and Portobello. The latter has just reopened after a refurbishment and I've not yet revisited. When I do, I'll post a review on my flog, the address for which you can find on my profile.

We like Portobello Yacht Club and House of Blues in the DTD area.
