Post 4/16 resale but received blue card

We bought resale in Sept 2016 and I have received a blue dvc member card. From what I understand this is the "pre 4/16" member card. I have read of a couple of people receiving this when they weren't necessarily supposed to, but I am wondering if anyone has had luck using it? We are headed to wdw in may and I am wondering if I will be able to get into the epcot members lounge, or do they check your actually number to make sure you are eligible?

They have mistakenly sent out a few blue cards since the 4/16 changes-- I also received one by mistake.

Should be totally fine for things like the Epcot lounge, merchandise/ dining discounts etc. For bigger items like DVC Gold AP and member-only events I'm not so sure; they would likely try to verify your membership on a computer and it would probably show you're a "purchaser" vs a "member".

Unknown, last week at the lounge they welcomed us and made mention that we had been there a week earlier so they are keeping track.
