how and where to look on the DCL website to book a cabana for my upcoming cruise in May.

Now, I DO realize that as a Silver CC member I probably have a snowball's chance in you know where of getting one, but a girl can dream right?

So.....is it listed in the Port Adventures for Castaway Cay? Somewhere else? C

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Linda

On port adventures they will be listed there, I have booked twice for fantasy cruises before and number by number there listed under castaway cay.

To manage expectations they do go very fast, on my two fantasy cruises there was a wait list of 500 plus.

But never say never.

I looked and didn't see them listed. Maybe they are already gone for my May cruise......

Keep checking. I went on a cruise on the Fantasy in Sept. 2012 and they would pop up as available around 30 days prior to cruising.

I thought you would see them "greyed" out so on the port adventures but you can't book them.

I do recall the times I booked no 4 then 5 then others became booked within minutes, you could see them but couldn't book.

Should be there under port adventures for castaway.

I am also going in May! I was lucky enough to snag one but when I looked (to answer your question) the others are greyed out and say "sold out".

the main way you'll have a chance of getting one is if you're looking waaay in advance. If your cruise is coming up soon the chances are much slimmer. Hopefully you're looking ahead of time!:thumbsup2

And by way in advance she means the same day, even the first hour.
I went online to add activities the 1st day I could do it (inside of 24hrs) for our cruise, and all cabanas were gone...I'm still smh in disbelief.. (sour grapes...I wanted a cabana :(

You can always check on the facebook page for your cruise to see if anyone has a cabana and might be willing to share in the cost with you.

If I'm understanding correctly, you haven't reached your check-in date yet, right? So your booking window isn't open. Once your booking window is open at 90 days (for Silver), you can access your reservation and click on the "My Cruise Activities" tab (I think, I don't have a cruise that is in the booking window right now to check). In there you will be able to select each day and look at the list of Port Excursions available. It is in there that you will see the Cabanas by number with the booked ones greyed out.

I was Gold when we went on the Fantasy last summer and I checked the minute my booking window opened and all the Cabanas on the Family beach were already booked. If that happens, just keep checking back multiple times a day and maybe you can catch one that has been cancelled.

Most often these days, all the cabanas are prebooked by the Concierge rooms before the window even opens so it has gotten hard for even the platinum cruises to get one (well, in the peak times and bigger ships anyway).

Best of luck! :goodvibes We had one when we sailed on the Dream and it was before they were included in the online checkin. I really wanted one for our Fantasy cruise but wasn't able to get one.

Thanks everyone. I realize that my chances of getting one are slim, but I am going to wish, and hope and try.

My wife and I are silver and went on the Dream New Years Eve cruise. All the cabanas were booked when our window opened. I kept checking back, and eventually was able to reserve on on Serenity Bay. I think there turned out to be 2 cabanas on Serenty that cruise that went unused. I heard that the people that had reserved them had some under-18 family members and were unable to use them.

What sailing are you on? What CC level are you? We are on the May 3 Eastern and I am only a lowly silver.

We are hoping for one at Serenity Bay as well.
