Possibly No More Disneyland Trips

I just got an email from my company telling me that I am going to finally be interviewing for a transfer to North Carolina. If this process goes through; which I don't see why it won't, there will be no more Disneyland trips for me :sad1: Meaning my trip last weekend will have been the last one and my two future trips will be cancelled.

The plus side, I'll be only 9 hours from Disney World. Though I have never been and I know I won't like it as much as my home park...It'll have to do.

We moved from NC to WA three years ago. Funny...I felt the same about WDW. In fact, the first two years out here we went on very expensive trips back to WDW because we couldn't get ourselves to DL. We thought DL would never have the magic of WDW.

Boy were we wrong! We have enjoyed our DL trips so much!

The good thing about WDW is there is so much to see! The drive isn't bad and there are so many hotel/rental options.

What part of NC are you moving to? There are cheap airfare options as well. Please pm me if you want to discuss NC or future WDW trips!

WDW is different but fun, and can't you fly back to Disneyland at some point? Presumably you couldn't go as often, but your post sounded so final to me! I'd try to think of it as no more Disneyland for a while. I imagine you can come back someday. :flower3:

Just because you are on the east coast doesn't mean you can't go to DL!!

You will love WDW. I grew up in Orange County, and DL was such an important part of my life. I moved back east 11 years ago. WDW is now my 2nd home.:thumbsup2

I agree, and it will make the DL trips even more special when you take them. You might look forward to the change, it's a whole new world to explore.

You can still make trips to DL. Airlines have cheap fares occasionally. DL is my home, haven't been to WDW yet, and probably won't for another five years. I doubt I'll like it more than DL, but you never know.

Two thoughts on this subject:

I grew up in Atlanta, so when I was a kid WDW was my home park. Due to it being far enough away that we couldn't just pop down for the day it forced my parents to actually plan a vacation when we went to Orlando. So you'll have to do the multi-day thing.

Another thought, since WDW trips aren't cheap it'll probably be just as feasible for you to do a DL for roughly the same cost. :)
