Possible to Use MYW ticket at Disneyland?

Hopefully this is in the right forum...
My husband has never been to Disney World and I've never been to Disneyland. We decided to visit both in one trip in September! We're looking to buy tickets this month. We're visiting Disneyland first for 2 days, then flying to Orlando for a week and looking to go into the parks 5 days.
My question is if we bought a 7 day MYW ticket, would we be able to transfer 2 days to Disneyland at the beginning? Or is our only option to buy separate ticket packages?
