Hey everyone. I am going to WDW 15-23 June. I am most likely going by myself, but will possibly going with a couple of girlfriends (I think they will most likely not go). I am a bit worried, because I am staying offsite, I know I would feel totally secure staying onsite.
I got a hotwire deal at Ramada Gateway for $30/night, so my entire stay only cost $280 for the 8 night stay (and I have already paid). It's the only way I could justify making a solo trip.

Anyway...I have done a solo trip to Disneyland back in 2006 and it was FANTASTIC! Of course I splurged that time and stayed at the Disneyland hotel.

Anything in particular you would advise/suggest for going solo and staying offsite?

Does the Ramada Gateway have interior or exterior corridors? Just curious about the doors to the rooms.

I think if you're always aware of your surroundings, not trying to handle too many bags and fumbling with your room key, just common sense safety stuff, you'll be OK.

Have a great time!!!

I know that some of their rooms have exterior doors and some are interior. Because I purchased via Hotwire, I am pretty sure that I will be in an exterior room. I pack light (especially if I am not travelling with the kiddos) and will spend most of my time in the parks -- to me the hotel is about sleeping and showering. Apparently it's only a mile to the WDW main gate too. Their website says that they are a "Good neighbor hotel"
They do have a free shuttle to the parks, but because I will have an annual pass, parking will be free, and I will just drive to the parks for my own convenience.
