Possible Palo attire? (women)

I was browsing Eddie Bauer's online outlet hoping to find some comfy cruise attire, but most of their stock right now is still winter-wear. I did find this dress, though, at a fabulous price! Even though it says it's suitable for cocktail parties, I thought I'd ask if those who have actually been to Palo think it would be appropriate attire.

Thanks for your replies. I wasn't sure if matte jersey might be too informal... but I really like the idea of something comfy AND easy to pack!

I was thinking the same thing. If all else fails, there's always the fabric store--though I don't know how easy the fabric would be to match.

OK, I just called Eddie Bauer - the representative found the black wrap - it was a black velvet wrap from the Christmas catalog - and is sold out! But, at least you can now imagine that black velvet would match - making a wrap would not be difficult....

What a pretty dress! I would think that a wrap of a brighter material would look nice with the black dress. Maybe a print with just a hint of black in it.

Very pretty and perfect! But, I want to point out that it is rayon and so will wrinkle. Here's a tip--put a plastic cleaner bag over the hanger. Then put the dress on it. THen another bag over the dress. Should keep most of the wrinkles at bay.

Try Chadwicks.com for a wrap. And I agree with above poster, a bright wrap (fuscia, silver, red, pink would all be great) would look smashing with it!

I love it! I may also buy it. Wouldn't it be funny to all be on the same cruise with the same dress The price is to good to be true. All of my other dresses are short so this would be a nice change. It looks like it would be ankle lenght.
