Not sure if everyone knows this, but a great deal of the score for the movie comes from the ballet. The Sleeping Beauty ballet is one of the great moneymakers worldwide for ballet companies, as well as a great tradition. Princess Aurora is a name created by a great composer and choreographer (Petipa), not Disney.
