They just said on CNN if Saddam ws hurt or killed in this "target of opportunity" then it could change the whole layout of this conflict.

I am scared that "they" may say he is killed, then our men and women go in peacefully and are ambushed. Could this happen?

I certainly pray that they got Saddam this early in the war. I don't think they would send in a bunch of American troops to be ambushed before gathering a BUNCH of reliable intelligence info.

Our military will not take anyone's word for the demise of Saddam. They know that he has many "look alikes". Our (or ally) intelligence will have to provide concrete evidence. But, it sure would be wonderful if we had managed to cut off the serpent's head.
