Possible last minute trip fast pass + ?

We may be heading back to WDW 9/12-17. Thinking of staying at POP, If we do a room only are we eligible for magic bands? Are they only selecting certain guests for fp+ or are all guests at Pop included? Using a AAA discount for room and thinking of buying our tickets thru them as well is that possible with fp+? Sorry I know these questions have probably been asked a bunch but I am on a time crunch! Thanks! By the way when I called to inquire about Pop the cast member said it was more than the all stars because it is a deluxe value?? That is a new term to me

Yes you will get magic bands and FP+. You will not be able to customize your bands (in theory), but you will get the standard ones when you check in.

I am bumping my own thread with a new question. Do you have to have a MYW package in order to use fast pass plus? The CM I spoke to today said I couldn't have a room only and separate tickets that I would have to have a package in order to use fp+ . She said I could book thru disney or AAA but I would have to have a package, I couldnt link my tickets later and then add fp+. Does that seem correct? Thanks

I can't be specific on your question. Like you I just booked a last minute trip to WDW (we're leaving 9/27) for MNSSHP. We have APs. We booked POP room only (like you) and were eligible for Magic Bands. I already had our APs linked on MDE and after making POP reservation went to MDE and was able to order our customized Magicbands rights away - in fact they came today and I must say it was exciting and they do come in cool packaging.

Not sure how you're purchasing park tickets or if you're using non exp. tickets from previous trips but from my experience my guess is if you have a park ticket linked to your MDE you should be able to get Magic Bands.

The day after I reserved POP and ordered my Magic bands on MDE I got an e-mail telling me I qualify for the magic band test and what to do to order them. Maybe you'll get one too.
