It would be the same principle as to why one can’t use points from a new resort until it actually opens...there is not an equal trading element.

as I read the current rules points at any resort can be used at any of the other 14 resorts since there is not provision for resorts being temporarily OOS. There is certainly a point to be made that it may not be equitable.. but it is what it is until there is a change. While more extensive it would be like saying while HH is shut down for a hurricane HH owners can not book at other resorts which to my memory has never been done

There is a provision in the contract that discusses loss of use of one resort.

I think when you have one resort offline, there is plenty of availability to absorb those points so following the rules specifically may not be needed,

In this case, you would be talking about many more resorts closed, which I would think would force them to do what the contract says in terms of loss of use.

It is why I would be very surprised to see an opening of only a few DVC. I think all will open at the same time.

Doesn't it even go as deep as the loss of a unit in a resort? If the unit you own is out then you are out for that time too

I haven’t found that in mine yet,,,it just mentioned that if DVCM wanted to move to some sort of cash option, they could opt to do that and then pass the cost on to all members at the resort,
