Possibility of 9 Night Stay

Hi, I hope this is the correct forum to ask...we are looking at renting DVC points for a stay in May 2022. If I book at 11 months, what are the chances we will get all 9 nights? Looking at Beach Club Villas or Boardwalk (studio) And if we can’t get all 9 nights in one room, are split stays possible/difficult? I appreciate any words of wisdom! Thanks!

Boardwalk Garden View would be your best bet. At 11 months you may have luck at Beach Club too, but you will want to find somebody prior to 11 months who would rent you the stay (assuming they can book it). That way they can grab it right at 11 months.

Thanks! We are planning to book through DVC Rental Store. Really hoping we can get all 9 nights!
Either of those two resorts will be fine (although my family prefers BC, we really just want to be in that area)

At exactly 11 months out from date of arrival, a resort owner can book up to 7 nights. To get to nine, the owner can wait two days after making the original reservation and then add the two nights. Alternatively, the owner can just wait to two days beyond the 11-month window and reserve all 9 nights at once.

As to getting either BCV or BWV at 11 months out in May, it will depend, of course, on whether you can find an owner who can make a nine night reservation and on availability.

As to availability, as long as you can find someone to reserve BCV not too long after the 11-month window opens, you should be able to get a studio, Studios there tend to book full before other rooms, but even studios for time in May are usually still available to reserve at least a couple weeks beyond the 11-month window.

At BWV, that is also true for any pool/garden view studios. In fact, those even have a chance of being open at 7 months out when owners of other resorts can reserve BWV. However, if what you want is a standard view studio, there is substantial risk of not even being able to get it at 11 months out. Those often book full within seconds after the 11-month window opens and many BWV owners fail to get them as a result. Boardwalk view studios may also fill fairly quickly, although for that time of year, they tend to still be open at least a few days past the 11 month window.

Before I bought into DVC myself, I rented 10 nights at Beach Club two years in a row. I just put my request in for the 11mo Mark and it was filled shortly after.

I own at BWK and just booked 11 nights Boardwalk view Studio exactly at 11 months. (Booked 7 nights then added on). That was for Feb 2022, and after a couple weeks the studios and 1bdr boardwalk view rooms started filling up. We ended up switching to a 1Bdr for only the last 7 nights and will do a split stay - but booking what I wanted did not get tight for a few days after the 11 month mark.
