I am looking to rent points for our next trip, and I am just trying to weigh up the options. can you get two connecting studios in any of the resorts? we would just like 2 seperate bedrooms, I would like a living room but I think a 2 bed is going to be out of the budget.

any suggestions?

DVC at this time*, does not have any resorts with connecting studios. BWV does have some dedicated studios next door to each other, but there are not many of those. And all requests are just that a request with no guarantee that the two rooms will be nearby.

*There is hope that the Poly will have connecting studios.

zero possibility. studios only connect to 1BRs to make up a "lockoff" 2BR.

The Poly is new ground since it will be the first resort without 1BRs. If they really are going to stick us with only studios and only the 20 2BR bungalows they should allow connecting studios.

Vero Beach has Inn Rooms that do have the connecting door. These are not the usual DVC Studios but are similar and may be reserved using DVC points.

As everyone has mentioned most with the exception of Vero do not have that option. However, we have always been lucky to get rooms right near each other when requested.

The "travel with " request has worked for us in most, but not all cases.

It really depends on the group makeup. As noted, no connecting studios except the Inn rooms at VB and no guarantee of having them close. If you're trying to do family with all kids under 18 I would not chance it. If you're Ok with them being in a different building, floor or some distance away but prefer them be close; it may be worth taking the chance. Assuming we're talking children and not adults for the second unit I'd either do a 2 BR or not go from a DVC standpoint or just do connecting value or moderate rooms directly. Depending on the resort you're targeting you might be able to get a 2 BR close the the price of 2 studios for others by looking at OKW, BWV stander or AKV value. Of course the latter two will require booking well in advance.
