Hi y'all,

I have not been to IOA since 1999, when it opened and everything was new and original. Since that time, has Poseidon's Fury changed any? I downloaded two different videos: one from around 1999 and then one that was recorded recently, and they look different to me. Am I imagining things or has Poseidon changed that much?

It's changed a lot. The whole story is different, the rooms are the same but the events are different, and there's a lot more props.

Poseidon is a good guy now, not a bad guy...still weird to me.

Overall, I liked the layout of the effects in the old one, and while the live acting has been good, the rest isn't as good as before IMO.

The show has changed a lot but it's still great. I had seen the original version back in '99 as well and didn't see the new version until recently. It's still excellent! ::yes::

I reluctantly went into this attraction and thought it was great! I never saw the first version though.

I haven't seen the old version but the version that we saw last week was horrible. It was a terrible waste of time. We couldn't see anything in the water or on the ground. If you're in the back, keep walking out the exit.

We saw the original in 1999 and the other version in 2001 and thought the first one was much better.

So I take it that the original Poseidon's Fury attraction is better than the current version? I always thought that that was the case, but sometimes the parks surprise us and give us a better version the second time around. Apparently, that isn't the case with Poseidon's Fury. Thanks a lot you guys; you guys helped me out a lot.

We still enjoy the effects of the new version, but what we most most about the original version was the "surprise" ending. At the climatic ending of the battle between Zeus and Poseidon, it went completely dark and when the lights came up, Zeus had transported you back to where you started the tour. It was a really great, disorienting moment that for some reason they chose to leave out in the new version.

Yeah I know it was the best part I thought of the first version. I wish they had kept that part. :(

A good place to go when its hot! No place to sit down though.
