Portofino?

We're staying at the Portofino 8/16-22. Never stayed there before, but couldn't pass up the deal. Any opinions on what to expect? How far is the walk?

stayed there in April for 6 nights. It's a good solid 10 minutes to the maingate.
It's a nice hotel with interior corridors ( I love that)
we stayed in a kids suite, it was clean but not brand new. The walls seemed pretty thin we could hear everything. I would ask to be away from an elevator
but the walk is pleasant you are on the same side of harbour as DL and just cross Katella they have a little store at the bottom level of one of the towers
they had water bottles for 1$
the staff was really nice too we would stay there again, but been getting great entertainment rates at HoJo

If you cross Katella and turn past the Desrert Palm, then past the Alpine hotel, mid block, there is a walk in gate where you can catch a tram to the entrance of DL.

I have stayed here before,,,it's a nice place, and clean..but the walk for me was just too far, i'm used to staying at the park vue inn or desert inn,,,i would stay there again if they gave a really, really great rate,,,otherwise i'd stay closer..
