Hi Everyone - does anyone have any feedback on Portofino Inn and Suites? We are considering staying in either a King Suite or a Kids Suite for our April trip.

TIA! :goodvibes

My sister, husband, and 4 kids stayed there 3 weeks ago in a kids suite. They loved it. Besides the fact that it's very close walking distance to the parks, their room was clean and fairly spacious. The only drawback for them was lack of free breakfast, but IHOP and Denny's are very close.

We stayed there last September in the kids suite. It's very clean, has laundry facility onsite, and a 10-15 minute walk. No breakfast but there are two stores you pass across the street where you can grab something to eat (even fresh fruit) on the way to the parks.

We stayed there last summer and had a good experience. The customer service was efficient and friendly and we liked the Kids' Suite. The walk is a bit far for us, though, so we are staying closer this year. It's not that it's a long walk in regular terms but we did it 4 times a day for 5 days (back and forth twice with our mid-day break) and after a few days of that plus all of the Disneyland walking it seemed like it was soooo far, lol! If you guys are in fairly decent shape, though, and don't plan to walk back to your hotel for breaks, I would recommend it.

Thanks for the feedback Queen Elisabeth! How far do you think the walk is? We stayed at Hojos last trip and walked from there back and forth twice a day for naps and we were okay with that. Do you think Portofino is any further than Hojos?

TIA! :goodvibes

Yes, it's definitely further than Hojo's. It's almost twice as far, but not quite.

Definitely further. Probably 10-15 minutes. We only went back for naps on the first 2 days since it was off season and the rest of our trip our park hours were 10-8.

according to the Unofficial Guide to DL, the walk time from the HOJO is 10 - 1/4 minutes and from the Portofino is 16 - 1/2 minutes.

We stayed in December and liked the hotel..It wasn't fancy but nice and clean and the staff was great..
As far as the walk to Disney..we had no problems getting there but the kids had a hard time walking back to the hotel at night..the last night we ended up paying for the bus because they (kids) just couldn't make it..
