Could anyone help me out with advice for requesting a particulat type of room.
I have booked for 3 nights in November through a travel agents and have booked a deluxe king room.
How do I make a room request and what is your advice on which wing to stay in. Have you got a fax number for room requests and how many days in advance of check -in do I need to send the fax? I would prefer a high floor room with a balcony. I have heard that the West Wing is preferable.

Sorry or all the questions but we have never stayd at PBH before.

Regards

I second the West Wing recommendation. Many of the rooms do have balconies. I am not sure if the Harbor View is an upgrade or not.

Most of the deluxe rooms are in the Villa wing, which mostly have a view of the Villa Pool. I believe there may be a few West Wing rooms, I'm not sure. Perhaps the West Wing room would have a Bay (aka Harbor) view, but I think they are a very, very limited #. The good news is that the Villa wing is centrally located. When we had a King Deluxe, we were definitely in the Villa Wing. Be sure to check out the "post your PBH room assignments" thread which is a sticky up top.

All you need to do to request a particular view is to add a comment to your ressie. Not sure why you booked through a TA (you can easily get good rates on your own), but have your TA request whatever view/wing/room you want. Just add it to your ressie. No need to call before hand or send a fax.

Oh, and I think IMG40 made a typo ... very few of the rooms at PBH have balconies ... only about 9% or so. Your chances of a balcony are few and far between. If you've booked a Deluxe room and request a high floor with a balcony, I really, really would not count on that. You should pretty much count on no balcony and a view of the Villa Pool.

I was also told only 9 oer cent of the rooms have balconies. We have been lucky and gotten them twice- once in the east wing and once in the villa wing. There are some deluxe rooms in the villa wing with beach pool view. We had room 2663 in the villa wing- it was a deluxe room - top floor with a blacony and view of beach pool but it had two queens.
