Has anyone had their reception at the Portobello?

I have no idea where to have my reception!

Are you doing an Escape wedding? www.mouseweddings.com has tons of great info on the different options, and I always recommend the Downtown Disney restaurants for their flexibility and more friendly prices. When I was looking into a reception in the semiprivate "Snug" area of Raglan Road, I found their catering contact to be extremely helpful!

Here I am! Yes, we had Escape reception at Portobello's. We had a total of 18 people, including the bride and groom. They told us they had reserved the "Rose Corridor" for us, which was a section of tables by the window, but since we had a weekday, late lunch (we didn't get there until almost 2 pm, if I remember correctly), the restaurant only had like 3 other people in it.

We really enjoyed the food, as there was a large selection to choose from: everything from pasta to steak sandwiches to rack of lamb (yes, my dad ordered that. for lunch. go figure??). We had originally wanted to have lunch at Fulton's, but since that's primarily seafood and not everyone likes that, we went with Portobello's instead.

The only thing that might present a tiny bit of a problem is that right now that entire area in front of Portobello's (the parking lot) is blocked off, as they're building a new restaurant. That just means the limo might not be able to get you a close as they normally would; you might have to walk a bit further.
